Cosi may not be familiar to everyone. They are a quasi-sandwich shop similar to the sandwiches offered by Panera bread. Their foundation is a flatbread that was developed to satisfy the owner's desire for a great sandwich in Paris. (I am not certain how one can't find a great sandwich in Paris, however.)
All of that said, their sandwiches are, as you might expect, chock full of salt. Think of something healthy like, say, a hummus and veggie sandwich. Should be easy, right? It's not: their version contains a whopping 1,469 milligrams of sodium. There are none with less than about 750 milligrams, so it's best to try some of their other offerings.
