I am currently caring for my dad who uses Coumadin and is diabetic. I am looking for menus/recipes with regards to his conditions. Menus would be helpful, as I work during the day.
We now know that a Mediterranean-style diet is the best diet for diabetics. Here's an article on the evidence for the best diet for type 2 diabetics.
All of the recipes on the Dr. Gourmet website are based on Mediterranean style diet principles. There are hundreds of Coumadin (warfarin) safe recipes at DrGourmet.com, and each recipe is labeled as to whether it is safe for Coumadin users, those with GERD, those who are lactose-intolerant or allergic to wheat gluten. You will also find a wealth of information on eating for those taking Coumadin in our section for those taking Coumadin (warfarin).
Thanks for writing,
