Ask Dr. Gourmet

What is the recommended amount of oatmeal we should eat per day?

I see at: http://www.drgourmet.com/askdrgourmet/oatmeal-raw.shtml how much oats we should not consume. What I don’t see there is what is the recommended amount is per day. Any ideas?

Dr. Gourmet Says...

OatmealGreat question.

The rule of thumb for a serving of oatmeal is 1/2 cup before cooking. That's about 150 calories and 4 grams of fiber.

Thanks for writing,
