How much Vitamin K is in Spring Mix salad mix?

Can you tell me how much Vitamin K is in Spring Mix salad mix? Yes, I am on Coumadin.

Dr. Gourmet Says...

A 'Spring Mix' of various lettuces and cabbages

Since "spring mix" has no standardized meaning, it would be one to be careful with: a company could create any mix of herbs, lettuces, and cabbages, put it in a bag, and call it "Spring Mix."

The resulting mix might be high or low in Vitamin K, but remember that food companies are not required to list Vitamin K content on their foods - nor are they required to test for it at all.

As it's impossible to know other than in a general sense what you're getting in a bag of "Spring Mix," I would recommend that my patients avoid it if it's not something they are going to consume on a daily basis.
